According to Paxton’s website, “I’m pro-life, and my commitment to the sanctity of life is deeply personal. Together, Angela and I have four children: Tucker, Abby, Madison, and Katie.” [Ken Paxton-Issues, accessed 5/3/22]
Ken Paxton Compared Abortion To Slavery And Said America Isn’t A “Good Country” If We Allow Abortion. Yeah, and I couldn't agree with you more. It's been a travesty that if you don't protect the people who can't protect themselves, the unborn, then you're no longer a good country. And I think the fact that we are moving back in a direction where we have the opportunity to protect the unborn is a good sign for America. It's a good sign for the system that we have been struggling in over the last 50 years to to turn it back to protecting life. And so just the fact that this decision is finally being rectified and given back to the states and giving giving us the opportunity in every state to make the argument to protect life, even in states that tend to be more liberal. We've we've seen where persistence and caring about what's right or wrong really didn't matter. It happened in this country with slavery. And it's not like we ever we've ever got the perfect system, but we have at least moved in the right direction. And that's what I'm hoping for, the pro-life movement that will start moving in the right direction and each year will make progress towards saving lives. [Ken Paxton Lou Dobbs Show, 05/04/22]
Ken Paxton: “When You Are Talking About Balance Between Women’s Rights And The Unborn, There Is Balance To Be Had. But I'm Telling You, The Balance Is Not To Kill The Unborn.” “First of all, I’m states right guy, I do not think the Supreme Court should make up rights, and there's no doubt under Roe v. Wade these rights were made up, they are not in the Constitution. And look, I have a different view, these rights of life go to the unborn and when you are talking about balance between women’s rights and the unborn, there is balance to be had. But I'm telling you, the balance is not to kill the unborn. I would argue the unborn has a right to life just as we want to protect women, we do want to protect the unborn.” [Fox News: Fox and Friends First, 5/4/22]
2012: Paxton Was Endorsed By Anti-Abortion Group Texas For Life PAC For Speaker In 2011. According to the Austin-American Statesman, “The political action committee for the Texas Alliance for Life has taken a 180-degree position-change on Texas House Speaker Joe Straus. The PAC on Friday said it endorsed Straus in his race for House District 121. Straus is being challenged in San Antonio by tea party-affiliated Matt Beebe in the Republican primary. In the past, Texas Alliance for Life PAC has actively opposed the speaker. Most visibly, the group backed state Rep. Ken Paxton, R-McKinney , in the speaker's race of 2011. But now Straus has won over the anti-abortion group, said Joe Pojman, executive director for the group.” [Austin-American Statesman, 5/5/12]

August 2020: Old Johnson Tweets Revealed Her Preference For Household Voting, In Which “The Husband Would Decide.”
According to 19th News, “Anti-abortion activist Abby Johnson, who will speak on Tuesday during the second night of the Republican National Convention, has advocated in recent months for a head-of-household voting system that has historically barred women and people of color from casting ballots. ‘What is the most controversial thing you believe?’ Johnson asked on Twitter in early May. ‘I would support bringing back household voting,’ Johnson replied to her tweet. ‘How anti-feminist of me.’ […] Head-of-household voting would permit only the head of a household — and not all household members who are citizens over 18 years of age — to cast a ballot. Johnson believes the male member of the household would be the de facto decision maker. ‘But what happens when the husband is a Republican and the wife is a Democrat or vice versa?’ a Twitter user asked Johnson. ‘Then they would have to decide on one vote. In a Godly household, the husband would get the final say,’ she replied.” [19th News, 08/25/20]
Office Of The Texas AG: “Attorney General Paxton Urges Feds To Investigate Violence Against Pro-Life Groups.” According to a press release from the Office of the Texas Attorney General, “Attorney General Paxton joined a comment letter led by Ohio, addressed to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, urging him to investigate the barrage of threats and attacks made against pro-life judges and pro-life organizations. In a pointed letter, Texas along with 18 other states, urged Garland to take swift action in response to recent terrorist acts against anti-abortion organizations, calling the lack of action intolerable, politically motivated and in violation of his oath of office. Since the leak of a U.S. Supreme Court draft decision overturning Roe v. Wade, the attorneys general write, ‘charities that support pregnant mothers in need have been firebombed and pro-life organizations have been attacked almost daily and terrorized.’” [Press Release – Office of the Texas Attorney General, 6/27/22]

Paxton: “I Hope That SCOTUS Returns The Question Of Abortion To Where It Belongs: The States.” According to Paxton’s Twitter, “I hope that #SCOTUS returns the question of abortion where it belongs: the States. This is why I led a 24-state coalition in support of MS’s law banning them after 15 wks. I’ll con’t to ensure that TX protects the unborn & pray for the end of abortion across our nation. #ProLife” [Twitter, @KenPaxtonTX, 5/2/22]
Ken Paxton On The SCOTUS Leak: “It Is A Potential Harm To The Case When Especially When The Ruling Is Going The Right Direction.” “We all are suspicious when there's never been a leak , at least in my lifetime . I know about and here we have one on one of the most important cases of our lifetime . It's very suspicious . And I really hope the Supreme Court investigates who leaked this and why they leaked it , because obviously it is a potential harm to the case when especially when the ruling is going the right direction. [Newsmax Daily Show, 05/05/22]
Ken Paxton On SCOTUS Overturning Roe: “This Is A Very Good Sign.” (00:01:00) So, it's pretty odd for something like this to leak. I don't remember this ever happening ever. And I don't know what's behind this, whether it was one of the clerks. I don't have any idea. But if I'm the Supreme, of I'm the head, if I'm John Roberts, I'm going to figure out who did this, because it obviously creates some problems for Supreme Court. But no, this is a very good sign. It's not surprising to me. We actually led the amicus brief with twenty-four states asking the court to consider this, over the last, since 1972, that the Supreme Court has done a very bad job of regulating abortion. They took it over from the states. And if you look at the standard, it changes. Every time there's a new member of the court, it seems like we get a new rule about what abortion, how abortion is to be applied. And argument, our brief was that you guys haven’t done a very good job. I think it's pretty clear you haven't had a good job. This belongs at the state level. Let the states make those decisions. And it's fortunate that in Texas it's actually Senator Paxton that passed the Bill, the trigger Bill that would basically ban abortions in Texas if the Supreme Court banned it. (00:10:17) Look, the most important thing right now is that prosecutors aren't the last line of defense in prosecuting crime, particularly as it relates to these abortions, as it relates to election. And so, the legislature wants to selectively allow the attorney general to prosecute things that they know are not going to be prosecuted by prosecutors. I think they should consider that. Otherwise, what they are passing has no effect. It will not be enforced by local district attorneys in some of these counties. It just won't. And so, they need to make sure that, you know, that's that there is a backup for that. And maybe there is in this bill. I could literally, if I if I'd known this was going to happen, I could have literally gone in five minutes to get the answer from either my wife, the senator, or I could have had one of my staff members send me the Bill. But it was it was a surprise to have it leaked. So, you know, we're all we're all kind of caught off guard by it. [Ken Paxton The Chris Krok Show 5/2/2022]
Ken Paxton On SCOTUS Overturning Roe: “I Think It's Great. ” “And I am not going to apologize for Texas being a pro-life state. Defending the right of the unborn to live seems like a fairly reasonable Constitutional right to have in this country. And I think it's great that the Supreme Court has finally recognized and we actually drafted a brief with 24 other states that made the argument that the Supreme Court got in this business 50 years ago, and they shouldn't have. It wasn't their obligation, it wasn't their duty, they weren't supposed to. And they did a relatively bad job. As the justices have changed, the law continues to evolve and the states have no idea what they're signing up for. And they did the right they're doing the right thing, sending this back to the states to let people vote with their feet.” [Newxmax: John Bachman Now 5/4/22]
Paxton On SCOTUS Leaked Draft: “Alito Is Right. This Has Been Done Poorly.” “I went to law school and graduated in 1991 from the University of Virginia and my constitutional law professor, a relatively liberal guy, acknowledged that the Roe v. Wade was made up. There was no precedent for it. And he made the argument that we want courts making up law. But that's not the way the Constitution was set up. That would give inordinate power to 9 justices to decide for everyone in the country without any debate, without any voting, that they're going to make these laws up. And that's not how our Constitutional republic works. And so Alito is right. This has been done poorly. The Supreme Court shouldn't have taken it and they haven't done a good job with this. This should go back to the states for each state elected by their people to make that decision .” [Newxmax: John Bachman Now 5/4/22]
Paxton: “Today's Historic Decision Is The Culmination Of Generations Of Pro-Life Activism In Defense Of The Unborn.” According to Paxton’s Twitter, “Today's historic decision is the culmination of generations of Pro-Life activism in defense of the unborn. Newsmax: “Texas AG To Newsmax: Dems Using Hysteria Following SCOTUS Abortion Ruling.” According to Newsmax, “The left is using hysteria to cover up the real issue behind the Supreme Court's decision to overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade decision that guaranteed women the right to an abortion nationwide, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton told Newsmax. ‘The Supreme Court fixed a problem from 1973: It was pretty significant where the court, everybody knows it, they made up this constitutional right that didn't exist,’ Paxton, a Republican, said on Monday's ‘Spicer & Co.’ ‘There's no words in the Constitution, no amendment for it, and they put it back where it belonged under the Constitution, with elected representatives, elected by the people and that's such a crazy bad thing — the left hates it because they want this little ruling elitist group to tell us what to do, and that's not the way this country works.’” [Newsmax, 6/27/22]

Paxton Said Enforcement Of TX Aboriton Law And Criminal Charges Will Be “Given To Local District Attorneys.” REPORTER: Attorney General Ken Paxton, our Texas Attorney General. It says in Texas Tribune, doctors could face life in prison and fines of up to 100,000 if they perform abortions in violation of the law. My question to you, sir, is if this Politico report is official, that abortion is going to be struck down here officially in two months, will you enforce the Texas law and will you enforce it to the full? How do you plan on enforcing this? (00:04:06) How stringent do you plan on doing that for doctors who reportedly face life in prison and fines up to a hundred grand? Paxton:Typically, any criminal statute in Texas other than voter fraud, which is a whole ‘nother issue related to the Criminal Court of Appeals. But typically, those are done by the district attorneys in each county. So that is my guess, is that's how that was drafted. It was because right now in Texas, the authority for all criminal prosecutions other than voter fraud is has been given to local district attorneys. [Ken Paxton The Chris Krok Show 5/2/2022]
