Hornberger: “I Will Continue To Work With Right To Life And Champion Life Issues In The Senate.” According to Hornberger’s campaign website, “I am humbled to have been the lead sponsor on several Right to Life bills, including HB 4320 which would make dismemberment abortion illegal in Michigan, and HB 4085 which would allow Judges in Michigan to include an embryo or fetus as a victim of a crime, if they were killed in the commission of a crime. I will continue to work with Right to Life and champion life issues in the Senate.” [PamelaHornberger.com, accessed 7/06/22]
Hornberger: “I Am A Fierce, Unapologetic Advocate For ‘Right To Life’ Issues.” According to Hornberger’s Facebook, “I am the only candidate in the Senate 8th district special election who has been the lead sponsor for Right to Life on several of their pro-life bills, because when RTL needs a fighter to champion their pro-life, anti-abortion bills, they come to me. I am a fierce, unapologetic advocate for ‘Right to Life’ issues. In 2019 I was honored to lead our caucus as the sponsor and champion of the ban on dismemberment abortion, HB 4320.” [Pamela Hornberger, 8/02/21]
Hornberger: “I Will Continue To Work To Protect The Lives Of The Unborn From The Radical Pro-Abortion Agenda.” According to Hornberger’s Facebook, “The Governor is wrong, Republicans are far from spineless. She & the Democrats want more access & funding for abortion. Here's an idea for starters, tax dollars should not pay for women to exterminate their babies. I will continue to work to protect the lives of the unborn from the radical pro-abortion agenda.” [Pamela Hornberger, 10/29/19]
Criticized AG Nessel For Refusing To Defend Michigan’s Ban On Abortions, Including In Cases Of Rape And Incest. According to Hornberger’s Facebook, “Earlier today I joined Guy Gordon to discuss the MI Republican-led Legislature’s decision to step in as the defendant in a case challenging the constitutionality of Michigan's abortion ban after our Attorney General Dana Nessel said neither she nor anyone in her office would defend the state law. The MI Attorney General is the highest law enforcement officer in our state. Elected by the citizens of Michigan, she has a legal obligation to enforce our laws. In MI law there is no precedence for her to choose which laws she wants to enforce based on her personal politics or election polling. Abortion is an extremely divisive issue. Having Michigan’s top law enforcement official refuse to enforce MI laws before any ruling from the SCOTUS as been announced only adds to the polarization and political rancor when we should be having civil conversations that benefit MI citizens.” [Pamela Hornberger, 6/07/22]
