If Roe is overturned, Georgia’s six-week “heartbeat” abortion ban would likely go into effect. The ban, signed into law by Brian Kemp in 2019, is currently being challenged in federal court. Abortion is currently legal in Georgia up to 20 weeks. [Valdosta Daily Times, 4/10/22]
