If Roe is overturned, Ohio’s current Attorney General has said he would ask a federal judge to allow Ohio to enact its heartbeat bill, whose implementation has been held up in court due to Roe up until now. This bill, currently on the books since 2019, prevents abortion after a fetal heartbeat has been detected, usually at 6 weeks into a pregnancy. [Cleveland.com, 5/5/22]
